Does Honesty Pays...?

The one question always comes in my mind is... does honesty pays?

Looking to my past experience I started saying honesty never pays?  Because this world is full of fraud and greedy peoples.  And an honest person can never beat them with just honesty.  

Honesty never pays your electrcity/water and other bills, children's school fees.  If you work with honesty your friend and other person will always cheat you. they always try to astray you.  As with honesty you will always suffer with monetry problems.

So what is right Honesty or ....   Na...... Comments please.
